Wayne LaPierre stood against the American People and the victims of School Massacres in a speech that blamed everyone but the NRA for the school massacres that are killing INNOCENT children and people across the USA.

The American People support common sense gun laws - ban on Assault Rifles (weapons of War), high capacity magazines (bullets clips), no sales via the internet, raising the age for buying a gun (18 to 21), ban 'bump stocks', better background checks, funding the AFT Bureau, curbs on selling guns at gun shows ..etc...

It is the NRA that stands guns / rifles and MONEY in hand that prevents the President, Congress and State Legislators from passing and enforcing laws that would protect Americans from gun massacres (not all massacres can be prevented - but it would reduce the numbers).
President Trump is ignorant in suggesting that for 'pay' teachers would love to be armed with a gun - in schools - and that should be a real consideration, as a solution. Wrong... Trump needed written talking points in his 'listening session' with students about suggestions to school massacres.

The 'founding fathers' would have been appalled to see that the NRA supports Americans owning an Assault Rifle (weapon of War) - we don't allow Americans to own gatling guns, machine guns, cannons, air to air missiles etc etc etc... so there is some common sense to restricting gun ownership - we must now move forward as we see that Assault Rifles (weapons of War) have become a 'clear and present danger' to the safety of the American people.

The NRA must join in the effort to protect the American Public and be a force for good gun legislation - not a door stop or a block to it.. or the American People must oppose them and their paid politicians and supporters.

When I was a police officer, and Gov Engler closed mental health hospitals, I and the Detroit Police Dept and others became - taxi cab drivers - for the mentally ill and their families...
Now with the massacre of children in Florida - their is 'some' who ask 'what can be done about the mentally ill and how to prevent them from getting guns...

Here is an idea....
Every local law enforcement agency should have a REGISTER of people who their officers fill out 'mental health commitment papers' ...and families should be required to fill out a form when they call police for mental health transport or assistance. I was sometimes required to fill out temporary MH commitment papers - this information should go into a data base that can be shared with other law enforcement agencies and State Police - with authority to transmit this information to the FBI... and this information should then be used to screen for gun purchases and an early warning for LEO agencies of possible potential dangers, from an individual.

President Trump was an proponent (2000) of a ban on 'assault weapons' and a time delay to purchase guns - but he refuses to discuss this issue...now

The LEO mental health register should be a top priority for State Legislators, fully funded, as a first step to prevent US massacres.

President Trump now is the time for the discussion about guns !!!
After the Las Vegas Massacre you said it was 'too early' -'not the right time' to discuss - common sense - legislation to Stop the Killings / Massacres, of students, citizens, police officers, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, aunt's and uncles, grand parents - innocents. Now is the Time - long past time.

Trump and Congress must make Public Safety - passing common sense gun laws, funding current bureaus and creating a save country for all to live in, the number 1 issue - above and beyond ISIS - it is the gun toting American - killing Americans.

Trump, playing up to the NRA and his rigid base of gun owners and Congress afraid of the NRA (accepting their blood money) must take responsibility for Stoneman Douglas High School, in Florida and all the previous mass shootings / gun massacres in the USA, because of their failures to act - to attempt to stop these tragic events.

We need NOW... a complete BAN - on MILITARY ASSAULT STYLE RIFLES (WEAPONS OF WAR), a BAN on HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINES, BAN on BUMP STOCKS, raise the age to purchase a gun to 21 and to fully fund the ATF Bureau (Alcohol. Tobacco and Fire Arms Bureau, and spend money to research Mental Illness and gun violence.

President Trump is going to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, on Wednesday, Dec 5, which will inflame the Palestinians and the Mid East, aiding ISIS recruiting and giving aid and comfort to all the terrorist that operate in the MIddle East and around the World - Why ???

There is NO reason to do this at this dangerous time. Trump is trying again, as he has done before, to distract and change the topics that he is emeshed in: Russia Probe, Obstruction of Justice, Alabama's - Roy Moore etc.

Trump taking this action presents a 'clear and present danger' to the American people here and abroad. NO US President, Democrat or Republican has ever taken this action - Why ?? because they have realized the dangers outweigh the political.
Presidents could have done this to 'support Israel' but realized that it endangers Israel too, so they have tried to negotiate peace between the parties, but all have failed.

I have been to Jerusalem, I stayed in the City that is HOLY to Christians, Muslims and Jews with HOLY sites in and around the City, which should remain in its current status.

Republicans elected officials MUST step in and STOP this dangerous act by a mentally challenged President which my face Impeachment and removal from office.

Assault Weapons - Open Carry - banned by US Supreme Court. (Maryland and Florida cases)

The US Supreme Court upheld Maryland's ban on assault weapons and they refused to require Florida to let handguns be carried openly in public.
The Court said that the public had no 2nd amendment right 'to weapons of war'....

I have repeatedly written and urged Congress and Legislatures to Ban Assault Weapons 'weapons of war' the Founding Fathers would never have thought to allow citizens to possess such weapons and to outlaw / ban - 'Open Carry' as a clear and present danger to the American Public.
