DETROIT LIONS - TIME FOR A CHANGE, of OWNER
DETROIT LIONS - IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE !!! OF OWNER
William C. Ford, should sell the Detroit Lions - He has been the one constant during all these losing Lions seasons...He should be held accountable. He has tried, spent money - but failure is his legacy, and now its is time to pass the ownership onto someone else, anyone else.
The losing Detroit Lions should be an embarrassment to the Ford Motor Company (like the goverment owning GM) and now is the time to sell and bring in new owners, new leaders and a new future.
Detroit area Lions fans want and deserve a Super Bowl - but what confidence, do you have that it will happen, next Season ????

DETROIT - MOTOR CITY, RIP OFF - RAPE, residents, retirees
Detroit - Motor City - RIPPED OFF.. RAPED - residents / retirees ...
Mike Ilitch, and Marian Ilitch billionaire owners of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and Motor City Casino, among other businesses are getting from the State of Michigan, County of Wayne, and Detroit tax dollars to build a MINI ice arena to house the Red Wings. The Ilitch's still owe Detroit up to $12m, for failing to secure and maintain historic Detroit Tiger Stadium, per agreements to maintain it as it was in 1999, when it was closed. Ken Cockrel, Detroit's now revered councilman, admitted Ilitch owed the money, promised to 'do everything I can to get the money', but failed, and never explained - Why not !!!
The Ilitch's own the Motor City Casino, despite owning two (2) professional sports teams !!! Poor disgraced Pete Rose can't enter the baseball Hall of Fame, because he BET on baseball games - He should have invested in a Casino.
The State, and the Detroit Downtown Development Authority which gets / captures tax revenue from a defined downtown area - and wants to expand its area, to get even more tax dollars) and the Detroit Economic Developent Association (George Jackson - had a major hand in the 'demolition by neglect' of historic Detroit Tiger Stadium per Ilitch (rumor has it), has guaranteed $235m dollars to support the arena and development of the area around the MINI arena - and the taxpayers are told that "no tax dollars will be involved (spent)"...It must be STOPPED !!!
Detroit is in bankruptcy - retirees face the loss of their pensions and health care benefits, and the EMF allows the use of DDDA / DECG funding to support a billionaires project - that Ilitch can mortgage himself with Dan Gilbert.
The EFM Orr also wants, with the help of his old law firm, to give 75c on the dollar to two banks, to finance the debt from a soured deal to rescue the City from their pension obligations. This is the same Orr who said he wanted City debtors to get a mere 10c on the dollar - its seems only the retirees were offered 10c - and everyone else may get much much more - because they can get more financial benefit from again selling bonds to the City.
The City in bankruptcy is also going to give financial aid to a 'Disneyland ride' the apporved M1 light rail system (3.3 miles in Mid Town with 13 stops - in that short track) while a region wide bus system is still a dream, and Detroit residents don't have bus shelters and a real on time bus system.
Detroit taxpayers and retirees are being ripped off - it must stop !!!
Some one must stand up and say 'stop the deceit, stop the lying, help Detroit, but don't take advantage, don't continue the 'rape' of Detroit.

MSU - BURN THE COUCH, FOX TV (YES)
Fox TV carried the MSU vs. Ohio State football game !!!
As it ended and MSU looked like the winner - FOX TV - had at least two shots / images of a male fan holding up a sign, " Burn the Couch", while the Fox TV camera man and announcers may not have known the implications of this sign - except - Burn - anything is wrong. Fox TV was sending a strong message to MSU students "Burn the Couch"...and some sane but unsober MSU fans, did just that setting a reported 55 fires, including couches, which in the past has been a favorite fire favorite..
Thank you FOX TV...for reminding the students and non sober fans, in Lansing, of how much fun they could have burning a couch.
Next time maybe someone will more responsible in the video messages, and maybe next time responsible MSU fans, will be able to celebrate and enjoy their teams victories without - fires - of any kind, thus honoring their team efforts in a truly celebratory manner.

MICHIGAN - RETIREE PENSIONS - ABORTION
Governor Snyder .....
Must stand up - for DPD / DFD Retirees and protect our pensions...The Michigan Constitution may not be above Federal Bankruptcy Law or the US Constitution - but - It is the Law in MIchigan, agreed to by the people of Michigan and supported by the people of Michigan.
The Govenor and Attorney General must take a stand and tell the Michigan Legislature that the Michigan Constitution must be upheld in MIchigan. If not, no Michigan resident should have faith in them or any Constitution, or any government who pledges to uphold the law.
Snyder and AG Shuette must also stand up to the Republicn lead Legislature and tell them that MIchigan women must be protected - no matter - their political or religious affiliation - Women should not have to buy special, abortion insurance - period....And NO Michigan woman should be left alone if she is raped !! The state as a representative of the People must stand with a woman and support her decisions.

LOW WINTER SUN - AMC Network - CANCELLED - Good
LOW WINTER SUN...AMC Network - CANCELED -
Low Winter Sun, and AMC Network, 'gritty police drama' set in Detroit, has been canceled and will not get a second season - good riddance to a bad show. LWS had a despicable story line, using the Detroit Police Department - 'good cops' kill a bad cop and then try to cover it up, police involvement with prostitution and excessive alcohol consumption (in the first show) made this wrong for Detroit and Michigan.
It continued the national / international reputation of Detroit, as a crime ridden city - and a corrupt police department. Nothing about this show reflected well on Detroit and those people who 'green lighted' this show for Michigan Film incentives, should pay it back, and anyone who allowed DPD cooperation, should never be involved again with TV or movie work.
Detroit Police Officers, its residents, deserved better. Maybe this can be a learning experience, the 'gritty police dramas' set in Detroit should be held to a higher moral standard and help serve the interests of Detroit. Truth shouldn't be avoided, but a continuing negative story line about Detroit, isn't in our best interest.
