DETROIT PISTONS - SAY NO TO MIKE ILLITCH- NO TO GAMBLING - DETROIT TIGERS - DETROIT RED WINGS...

Mike and Marian Illitch should be barred by the National Basketball Association from buying the Detroit Pistons. Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League should stand up, for integrity, and tell the Illitch's sell their gambling interests or their pro sports franchises.

Marian Ilitch owns the Motor City Casino, in Detroit, and is involved in getting casinos in Ohio - that will compete with Detroit area casinos.

Mike Illitch had an agreement with the City of Detroit to maintain historic Detroit Tiger Stadium as it was in 1999 and he failed - taking millions of dollars in taxpayer money. His neglect and failures help cause Tiger Stadium to look decrepit
and unsightly, making people believe that it was structurally unsafe - when it was not. Tiger Stadium was demolished through 'demolition by neglect' by Illitch, the Detroit Economic Development Commission and city officials. I have asked the FBI to investigate Mike Illitch and city officials - for possible federal law violations.

He does not have the best interest of Detroit, in mind, and Detroit does not have the money, nor does the state to build a new sports arena for a billionaire.

Speak Out - Integrity needs to be the NO. 1 issue in pro sports and mixing gambling and sports is not good for the fans or the players.

ps: didn't - Darren McCarty, former Red Wing, post a debt of $50,000. on his bankruptcy filing for the Motor City Casino (Illitch)?
