NEW PLAYBOY = NEW COKE, A HUGE MISTAKE...

PLAYBOY...not Playboy....New Playboy = New Coke...a mistake

The March 2016 Playboy is the 'new and improved Playboy' with upgraded paper quality and larger format - OMG...NO NO NO...this is the new Playboy without nude / naked women.

This first copy, maybe the end of Playboy, it reminds one of the non Playboy 'men's magazines' of the 1950's and '60's that were afraid to show breasts, nipples and a cute butt. This Playboy is equal to the failed 'new Coke' experiment that promised to be better than the old formula Coke, that we loved to drink and enjoy.

Playboy was known and admired for photographing the World's most beautiful women - with great photographers and creative locals and sets, but this 'new' Playboy, shows women as shy almost embarrassed to be in Playboy.
The photography is in no way equal to the 'real' Playboy's of the past. The cover is great, but the inside photographs are no where near as provacative, enticing, alluring, vibrant or sensuous as they should be.

The magazine doesn't have its Rabbit joke page, or the cartoons that you anticipate and enjoy.

The new Playboy is a pale reminder of what it was and still should be, even in this age of pornography at your fingertips. Playboy was a magazine that you could read for the articles, jokes, and also enjoy seeing the World's most beautiful women - photographed in there more attractive form.
So if you have your old Playboy's keep them and look at them and remember when it was a magazine in the forefront of events - the 'new' Playboy is nothing more than a copy of today's other 'men's magazines, and its a shame that Scott N. Flanders, Chief Executive Officer, Playboy Enterprises, Inc, includes a letter extolling the 'new' Playboy as bigger and better - but he reminds me of Sarah Palin - putting lipstick on a pig.
